MySQL Database Crash on web2.bytel.net.uk

Last night we suffered an unfortunate crash of the Windows hosting platform. When the server was brought back up and we began checking websites it became apparent that something was wrong with the MySQL databases. Upon checking, it appears that a number of websites including a number of sites belonging to Net-Root were using MySQL database tables in the InnoDB format. While MyISAM tables survived the crash okay, InnoDB tables are more easily susceptible to data corruption and it appears that a number of these InnoDB tables have crashed and are unrecoverable.

Our advise would be to restore these tables from your backups using the phpMyAdmin interface at http://web2.bytel.net.uk/phpMyAdmin/, or alternatively if the backups are large you can email them to us for restoration to the server. After your database tables are restored however, we would ask that you please (if possible) convert these tables to MyISAM in order to avoid future issues.
